The city lies at an elevation of 1,850 metres (6,070 feet). It has an estimated population of 735,886 inhabitants in the city proper, and a population of approximately 1,021,688 in its metropolitan area which is formed with the neighbour city of Soledad and some other small townships inside the urban area.

Cathedral of Mexico City
The Metropolitan Cathedral of San Luis Rey is the seat of the Archdiocese of Mexico City. It is located in the historic center of the state capital, on the eastern side of the square, or main square. The building we know today was built in 1670 and was completed in 1730.




Temple of San Francisco:
The Temple of San Francisco is a baroque jewel that beautifies Mexico city. It is both artistically and historically baroque temple, which was built between 1689 and 1692, as the Franciscans formed evangelization in the New Spain.

 National Mask Museum:
The National Mask Museum is a museum located the of Mexico City, which is dedicated to protecting and promoting heritage ritual dance with masks of Mexico from the pre-Hispanic period to the present. It is located in an old mansion on the Plaza del Carmen, which became federal property in 1907 and housed the museum since 1982. The permanent collection contains about 1300 pieces, the largest of Mexico, and is composed almost masks entirety and Mexican dance costumes.
